Books I Love

After interviewing fifty of the world’s greatest financial minds, and penning the #1 New York Times best seller Money: Master the Game, Tony Robbins returns with a step-by-step playbook, taking you on a journey to transform your financial life and accelerate your path to financial freedom. No matter your salary, your stage of life, or when you started, this book will provide the tools to help you achieve your financial goals more rapidly than you ever thought possible.

Robbins, who has coached more than fifty million people from 100 countries, is the world’s #1 life and business strategist. In this book, he teams up with Peter Mallouk, the only man in history to be ranked the #1 financial advisor in the U.S. for three consecutive years by Barron’s. Together they reveal how to become unshakeable—someone who can not only maintain true peace of mind in a world of immense uncertainty, economic volatility, and unprecedented change, but who can profit from the fear that immobilizes so many.

Man’s Search For Meaning: The classic tribute to hope from the Holocaust  (I love this book!)

This book had a profound impact upon me and I refer to it often in my sessions with clients. It is an extreme example of the human spirit and shows how we can overcome harsh realities by changing the way we look at it.

Psychiatrist Viktor Frankl’s memoir has riveted generations of readers with its descriptions of life in Nazi death camps and its lessons for spiritual survival. Between 1942 and 1945 Frankl labored in four different camps, including Auschwitz, while his parents, brother, and pregnant wife perished. Based on his own experience and the experiences of others he treated later in his practice, Frankl argues that we cannot avoid suffering but we can choose how to cope with it, find meaning in it, and move forward with renewed purpose.

The Power Is Within You

My first self help book ever was a Louise Hay book “You can heal your life”. Ever since then I have always felt that Louise was ahead of her time. I recommend all her books but this one is another of my all time favourites. Louise encourages us to think of ourselves in terms of positives – what we do, not what we don’t; what we know, not what we don’t; what we are, not what we aren’t.

Knowing he was dying of ALS – or motor neurone disease – Mitch visited Morrie in his study every Tuesday, just as they used to back in college.
