5 Best Self-Care Tips to Alleviate Anxiety

Maybe it’s the election year. Maybe it’s the social isolation from working at home. Or maybe it’s that we’re in the middle of a pandemic. No matter the reason, it’s completely valid to feel anxious right now. After all, forty million adults report experiencing anxiety in the United States.

  • Exercise – Boosting your heart rate (through exercise) is a healthy way to reduce stress. And if sweating isn’t an option, take a relaxing walk instead! 

 

Above all, make sure the activity you choose is easily accessible during stressful moments! Of course, your own coping mechanism will depend on you as a person, but you can’t go wrong with healthy exercise and an engaging hobby. Our tip? Pair both with music.

Disorder and randomness are a recipe for anxiety. Even if it’s just for ten minutes in the morning, establishing a routine can transform your mood and day.
