We all want to look and feel our best, but we often put others first and neglect our own self-care. When you take the time to look after yourself, it will help you feel more confident while giving you a positive outlook on life. You may even get more energy.

If you’re ready to make some lifestyle changes, now is the time to start. Here five tips for self-improvement that will make you feel like the best version of yourself:

1. Buy New Lingerie

Wearing sexy lingerie will make you feel beautiful and give you a hidden boost of confidence. Buying lingerie shouldn’t be a rare treat, as your favorite bra and panty sets can be worn every day.

There is something to suit every body shape and lingerie preference, and you can easily find both the level of support and style you need.

2. Get Your Hair Done

A good hair day changes everything, and a color, cut or treatment can completely change the way you feel about yourself. It can be hard to fit this in with a busy schedule, but those few hours will be well worth it.

Spoil yourself and combine your visit to the hairdresser with other pampering services, such as a manicure, pedicure, spray tan or eyebrow shaping.

3. Start Running

Running is one of the best ways to up your exercise regimen, and all you need is a good pair of shoes. As your feet hit the pavement, your head will feel clearer and your metabolism will start to kick into gear. Anyone can be a runner, but to avoid injuries, start slowly and build up to longer distances.

To keep motivated, find a friend, neighbor or a personal trainer to run with, and aim for at least three times per week.

4. Eat Fresh Foods

While processed foods will leave you feeling bloated and tired, making a habit out of eating more fruits, vegetables and clean protein will change the way you look and feel. Those who feel like they never have enough time in their day to prepare something can instead meal prep on the weekends and fill their freezer with delicious, home-cooked meals.

Additionally, try to cut down your sugar intake and look for other alternatives. For example, drop the soda for a glass of water with fresh lemon, cucumber and mint added as a natural infusion.

5. Learn to Meditate

Meditating is a good way to feel calmer and become more in tune with your mind. There are a number of meditation apps available, making this practice convenient to try from the comfort of your home.

Another alternative to meditation is yoga. This practice will not only make you feel better mentally, but will also tone your body. Yoga is a low-impact activity that can be customized to suit your body type, fitness level and capabilities. You’ll stretch muscles that may otherwise go unused and learn breathing techniques that can help reduce stress.

Take Care of Yourself This Year

Now is the time to make some lifestyle changes and gain some additional confidence. Ultimately, you will feel your best when you exercise, eat fresh foods and buy clothing that makes you feel sexy.

Something as simple as wearing sexy lingerie could have a positive impact on your mood and self-perception. So, what are you waiting for? Start feeling your best self today!
