Be Yourself

Passivity and people pleasing

All too often we try to fade into the background. We speak in hushed tones on the train. We tiptoe when our shoes are too noisy and we try in many ways to be as inconspicuous as possible. We just want to fit in and not draw attention to ourselves..why?

Lack of self-confidence

It usually stems from a lack of confidence. The challenge is to show the world you are here!
Make more noise, speak up when you have a question, put yourself in the spotlight more often. It is only through repetitive actions and thoughts that our unconscious changes to accommodate our new ways of perceiving and thinking about ourselves.

Take a stand

If you’re trying to blend in, chances are that your thinking about yourself is similar – ie. I am not important, I had better stay out of the way and similar types of thinking. They are just thoughts, NOT facts.

Get out of your comfort zone

Do something different, push yourself and avoid your typical urges to stay hidden. It can be a very liberating experience. Stop making yourself seem small. You have as much right to be here on this planet as everyone else. Your opinions count as much as anyone else’s.

Make your mark…make some noise.Have an opinion and express it!!!
