Confidence is a tricky thing to talk about. It’s one of those things that you often wish for in your life, but also one that you don’t always have. For a lot of women, after you have had a baby is when you lose a lot of your confidence because of the changes in your body, and the changes in who you are. The thing that you have got to remember is that this new person is amazing, and you have every reason to be confident in her. In this article, we’re going to be talking about some of the ways that you can do this, so keep reading down below if you would like to find out more.
Let Yourself Be You
First, you need to let yourself be you. We know that this can be tough, especially when it feels like you’re not actually you anymore, but you’re just a different version of yourself. There is nothing wrong with this, and it’s something that a lot of women go through once they have had children. You need to find the strength inside you to let this person out into the world and shine. We can understand the urge to hide away, we really can, but that does not mean that this is the right thing to do.
Just because you feel different to how you did before, does not mean that it has to be a bad difference. Different is different, and we are the ones who give the defining meaning to it. Choose for it to be a good difference, and you’re going to feel so much better.
Exercise Will Help
Whether you believe us or not, exercise is going to help so much when it comes to getting your confidence back. It might not even be anything to do with your looks, but it might just be to do with how you feel. We know that a lot of women struggle with the way that they look after they have given birth because for most of us we never really go back to what we looked like before, but again, this is okay. You can exercise to get rid of the baby weight if this is something that is bothering you, or you can accept it.
Exercise is as much for the mind as it is for the body. When you complete some kind of exercise, the brain releases endorphins which are natural mood enhancers and pain killers, making you feel great. In fact, this might even be when you feel your best from now on. So, even if it’s something simple like going for a leisurely swim, it’ll help.
Change Up Your Style
We also want to mention that it might help if you decide to change up your style. For some this is going to be great, and it’s not going to work for others but you’re never going to know if you are not willing to try. This can be anything from the clothes that you wear, to the accessories that you wear, to the makeup on your face or the way that you do your hair. If the style that you’re working right now isn’t doing it for you, then it’s time to try something a little different.
If you’re bored of your hair, or you know that it’s been a long time since it has had any maintenance, then why don’t you see what you can do about this? Look into hair color correction if you have colored it previously, and then decide if you want a different color. If you don’t feel comfortable in the clothes that you wear, don’t wear them, go and buy something else. Changing up your style might not feel like a big thing, but you will feel the results yourself when you feel much more confident than ever.
Remember Your Journey
The last thing that we want to drop in here is that you should remember your journey. You don’t feel the same any more because you are not the same person any more. Your journey will change you multiple times along the road of life, but that does not mean that you have to lose your confidence on the way. You are still you, and you deserve to be confident in yourself.
Hopefully, you have found this article helpful, and now see some of the things that you should be doing to bring back your confidence after you have had children. We know that it’s not easy, especially when you have changed so much, but you are an amazing person and you deserve to feel confident. We wish you the very best of luck, and hope that you manage to feel it sooner rather than later.
