If you have a person in your life that lives for good food then you are very lucky. They are the people that are the easiest to shop for since you have a wide variety of gifts to give them that they will love. You don’t have to think too hard about what they like so the possibilities are endless.

The problem is that you may have given them the same type of gift year in and year out. For instance, if you are stuck getting them a restaurant gift certificate every year then you may think this is a good time to find something different. In this article, we will go over some of the gifts that every foodie will love.

1 – Food basket

Food baskets make excellent gifts to give to a food lover since they often have a variety of foods in them. This makes them exciting to eat especially during the holidays when people are grazing all the time.

They’re also good for people that are on special diets or have some food restrictions because they can often be made with specialty items that suit them perfectly. For instance, a dried fruit gift basket is ideal for those that love sweets but can’t eat desserts or are vegan and have to avoid most sweets during the holidays.

People that love a certain kind of food, such as salami and cheese will love a French or Italian-themed food basket since it contains some salty treats for them.

2 – Cooking classes

Learning new skills is something that most people put on their New Year resolution lists. For a foodie then learning to cook something that they love to eat will be the ideal gift. It is a fun experience as well as gives them something new to learn.

Most places have several to choose from so you can tailor the classes to suit their interests the most. If they love barbecue then you can give them a gift certificate for a cooking class that focuses on using a smoker for meats. Or, they might have a particular cuisine they love to eat but have no idea how to cook such as Thai or Indian and they would love a class.

3 – Food tour

If they are not much for cooking or they are already experts in the kitchen then a food tour is a good alternative to cooking classes. There is almost certainly a specialty food or beverage that is made near them that hosts visits to their facility.

For instance, if there is a winery or brewery nearby then a tour to their facility would be a very welcome gift so they can see the behind the scenes operation and then get to taste the goodies at the end of the tour.
