Why it’s good to fail

It’s good to fail. It teaches you so much. To me, failure means giving up. Failure definitely isn’t someone who keeps trying, even if they fail numerous times.

Ask yourself what your attitude to failure is? What is failure to you? When you fail, you learn what not to do. Don’t see failure in black and white terms – it’s much more than that. Society frowns upon failure but ultimately it’s good to fail – trust me on this.

Thomas Edison who invented the lightbulb said about failure: “I have not failed. I’ve just found 10,000 ways that won’t work.” “Many of life’s failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up.”

When you change your perspective on failure, it seems less daunting. I would rather be someone who tries and fails than someone who is so afraid of failing that they never try at all. How saw. Life isn’t a dress rehearsal – get stuck in and don’t fear failure. Failure teaches us valuable lessons. I see failure as a good thing.
